ROLE OVERVIEW:
- Research and innovate in the development of space-to-ground and space-to-space laser communication links;
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the entire communication link and its challenges regarding high speed data and analog/digital processing;
- Conduct in-depth analysis and implement necessary adjustments to improve overall performance;
- Develop comprehensive test plans for validating improvements in the link setup;
- Proactively identify and address any issues that arise during research and test phases whether optics or baseband related;
- Share your expertise to contribute collaboratively, applying research findings to practical applications.
MUST HAVE:
- MSc or PhD in electrical engineering, communications technology, optics, or other relevant disciplines;
- Already had 1st experience in similar position;
- Solid knowledge of telecommunications systems;
- Understanding of the challenges of high speed communications links;
- Skillful in digital signal processing, electrical engineering, data acquisition;
- Experience with lab work and system level testing methodologies;
- Ability to diagnose and debug test setups;
- Strong interest in gaining understanding of optical communication links;
- Excellent verbal and written skills to interact with the project members and teams of different expertise;
- Fluent in English.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with optical communication links or optical/photonic devices;
- Experience with FPGA development;
- Experience with high frequency circuit design.
