We are seeking a statistical modelling expert to join the Biostatistics team in Quantitative Sciences. The position will be located in any of our affiliations in Ghent (Belgium) or Boston (US);  working remotely is possible.

YOUR ROLE:

As a Statistical Modeler:

  • You will closely collaborate with the project team to identify needs for statistical modelling, go/no go decision-making and complex innovative clinical trial designs; and support its implementation in study protocols, development decision-making or the analysis of clinical trials;

  • You will work with other statisticians to develop trainings on novel statistical approaches as applicable to the industry to grow understanding among statisticians and non-statisticians in the organisation;

  • You will carry out functional responsibilities in accordance with applicable company guidelines and regulatory requirements.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS SET:

  • You have an analytical mind-set, intellectual curiosity and you are passionate about embracing your statistical skills to translate data into evidence and decisions;

  • You have a doctorate (Ph.D.) or equivalent in Statistics or related field, with a relevant track record of publications in peer reviewed journals and at least 6 years of relevant experience in clinical trials and statistical methodology;

  • You have expertise in drug development, with a demonstrated track record of advanced knowledge of biostatistics and strong command of its application to clinical trials;

  • You have experience with research and application in at least one of the following statistical areas: causal inference methods, Bayesian methods, surrogate endpoints, advanced multiple testing, complex innovative designs, longitudinal modelling and/or missing data;

  • You are proficient in statistical software (R or SAS) including experience with computer simulations; proficiency with R Shiny, EAST, Stan is a plus;

  • You can clearly explain complex statistical concepts in written and spoken English;

  • You are able to work autonomously as part of a cross-disciplinary team in a dynamic surrounding of a fast growing biotech company with challenging timelines.
