Serco Maritime Service, formally Clemaco – with 150 employees has been a partner of the Belgian Navy since 1964. You will work within the ' Naval Maintenance ' department of Serco Maritime Service, we provide a total maintenance service for various types of naval vessels for the Belgian and Dutch Navy (Frigates, Mine Hunters and Patrol vessels).

Main Responsibilities
You will have the opportunity to take care of a variety of maintenance and repair activities.

You will be working in the electricity/electronics department at the naval base in Zeebrugge that does the maintenance of :

• Electrical equipment in the Measurement and Control Engineering department.


• The electrical part of the generators on the minehunters, as well as the static converters, E-boat, bow thruster, steering machine, stabilisation, CBRN (detection of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats), argonite, Oxygen measurement, fire alarm centres on board our ships, CBSS (Central Coast Surveillance).


• During your entry period you will learn step by step how to carry out the various maintenance activities

Successful Candidate

• You see the theoretical background and can quickly apply it in practice.


• You follow the necessary safety training courses and obtain the required qualification to do your job in all safety.


• You will be trained for the equipment on the new minehunters of the Belgian and Dutch Navy, including the latest drone applications.


• You have a basic TSO diploma (A2) in electricity or equivalent through experience. A basic knowledge of electronics is a plus.


• You are a 'Team player', flexible, eager to learn, motivated and not afraid of a new challenge.


• Both school leavers and 55+ year olds are welcome in our company.
