Job Introduction
Our Client runs a conference centre comprised of 15 large meeting rooms and a number of smaller rooms. The Conference Centre is used by for major meetings, events, and exhibitions. The Conference Centre is managed by Our Client's staff members, with the support of external technicians who provide conference support services. These services include, among others, technical assistance, audio-visual support, and event coordination to ensure the seamless execution of all activities.

We are looking for a Junior Technician to support our client in Brussels, Belgium.

Main Responsibilities

The Conference Centre is run by our Client's staff members, with the support of external technicians who provide conference support services.

These services include, amongst others:

  • Setting up the rooms so they are prepared for the meetings;

  • Front-line support to users in the conference rooms during the meetings to ensure they are able to use the equipment (microphones, computers, projection);

  • Managing audio-visual aspects of major meetings (sound, visuals, voting systems, mixing racks etc);

  • Specialised support for specific events. The conference team is also responsible for:

  • Managing the technical aspects of the Client's TV studio including setting up the studio (lights, sound, camera) for filming or broadcasting sessions, handling the mixing table, providing technical support.


Successful Candidate

Educational requirements

  • Completion of a secondary school diploma (Mandatory)

  • Languages: B2 level in English and B2 level in French (Mandatory)


Technical/professional qualification

Mandatory:

  • Minimum of 4 months professional experience in a post working on a daily basis with audio-visual equipment

  • Minimum of 4 months practical experience of the different web meeting platforms (Webex, Zoom, MS Teams, etc.)

  • Minimum of 4 months experience with the Office suite (Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Excel basics)


Desirable:

  • 3 months of practical experience of videoconference equipment and IT networks

  • 3 months of practical experience as an operator in a Conference Centre

  • 4 months of professional training in the use of audio-visual equipment

    Other requirements (personal characteristics)

  • Desire to work in a multi-cultural team.

  • Good team worker, positive and open minded, committed to getting a job done

  • Hands-on approach.

  • Flexibility and adaptability.

  • Availability to work irregular hours, sometimes outside normal hours.

  • Self-learner and autonomous.
