We are looking for a Drug Product Development Scientist who is innovative, detail-oriented, and collaborative to join our Biologics Drug Product Development team, based at our UCB campus located in Braine-l’Alleud, Walloon Brabant, Belgium.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
You’re going to play a key role in shaping the future of injectable drug product development for biologics and gene therapies. You will design, optimize, and support manufacturing processes from early clinical phases through to regulatory approval.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- You will design and execute lab-scale studies to develop robust injectable drug product processes;
- You will be responsible for selecting components and defining processes for clinical manufacturing;
- You will manage data analysis, documentation, and reporting to support regulatory submissions;
- You will collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure timely clinical and stability batch production;
- You will support process validation and knowledge transfer to late-stage and commercial teams;
- You will contribute to investigations, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field;
- You bring 5–7 years of experience in sterile liquid drug product development or manufacturing;
- You have hands-on knowledge of aseptic processing and cGMP environments;
- You’re experienced with monoclonal antibodies and/or gene therapy products (rAAV is a plus);
- You demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and prioritization skills;
- You’re comfortable working autonomously and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.
