AEIDL, the European Association for Innovation in Local Development, is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Project Manager to lead on an EU-funded service contract to support community-led initiatives for local climate action.
We welcome applications from candidates looking for either a freelance or an employee post. The post is available at between 0.8 and 1.0 of a full-time position, subject to negotiation.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Managing design, implementation, and delivery of project to support community-led initiatives for local climate action;
- Managing team for delivery of project;
- Managing budget and resource allocation throughout project cycle;
- Liaising with client to ensure excellence in project delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential
- Higher education degree;
- At least 10 years of experience in project management, including overseeing project delivery, quality control, client management and conflict resolution;
- Experience in managing EU-level projects with a budget of at least EUR 500 000 and covering 10 or more EU countries;
- Experience in managing teams of at least 5 people;
- Management of complex projects in an EU context;
- Excellent planning and organisational skills;
- Team leadership;
- Budget monitoring skills;
- Fluency in English (C2) and two other EU languages (C1).
Desirable
- Masters in environmental sciences, social sciences, local development or related areas;
- Experience of managing pools of thematic and country experts;
- Experience of managing a consortium partners and subcontractors;
- Knowledge of community-led local development (CLLD), community engagement, climate action, local innovation and/or social innovation.
