The European Liberal Forum (ELF) is recruiting a full-time Senior Project and Compliance Officer to join its secretariat in Brussels and support the Head of Projects in managing the project portfolio of the organisation.

The European Liberal Forum (ELF) is recruiting a full-time Senior Project and Compliance Officer to join its secretariat in Brussels and support the Head of Projects in managing the project portfolio of the organisation.
FUNCTION:
- Portfolio management (approx. size 350.000,00 EUR):
- monitoring the implementation of ELF annual projects and flexible formats carried out in cooperation with ELF Member Organisations (quality and eligibility control, checking financial documents, keeping project records up-to-date);
- first point of contact for advising ELF Member Organisations on questions;
- planning and implementing ELF Secretariat-led activities, including conferences, seminars and training events, coordinating publications and policy papers.
- Executing administrative and logistical aspects of events; liaising with the Communications Unit to ensure the timely execution of communication activities; Moderating and facilitating events, workshops and public discussions;
- Take the lead in coordinating the Project Unit and the Finance Unit to support the quarterly reviews, audits and annual reports, as well as formulating responses to compliance questions from the authorities; support the Head of Projects and the Executive Director in developing compliance policies;
- Ensuring that all ELF activities within the assigned portfolio are carried out according to the requirements of the European Parliament, Belgian legislation, and the statutes and internal regulations of the European Liberal Forum;
- Proactively networking with stakeholders in Brussels (other think tanks, ALDE party, Renew Europe Group) and support the implementation of ELF’s membership strategy;
- Assisting with other ad-hoc tasks around the office as necessary (logistics, contact with service providers).
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Professional Qualifications
- At least a bachelor's degree in political science, social sciences or relevant field;
- Fluent in English. Knowledge of French is an asset;
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in programme and project management or other relevant experience in the leading role;
- Advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with the Salesforce platform is an asset;
- Excellent organising abilities. Great attention to detail and analytical mind;
- Proven experience in networking and outreach, as well as an established network in Brussels and the wider European liberal family, is an asset;
- Experience in communication with European institutional actors, in particular for purposes of reporting on European Union grants and project funding.
