You’ll work closely with our CEO office, Management Team, internal Transformation Office, Operations & Finance, HR, and other stakeholders across the organisation.

- Ensuring employee understanding of key operational, financial and programme updates, policies and procedures;
- Engaging and motivating employees around a shared organisational culture and values;
- Improving knowledge-sharing across the organisation.
This is a transversal role: you will be part of our Corporate Communications team, reporting to the Corporate Communications Senior Associate. You’ll work closely with our CEO office, Management Team, internal Transformation Office, Operations & Finance, HR, and other stakeholders across the organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead implementation of our internal communications strategy and work plan, in close collaboration with other stakeholders;
- Help consolidate the internal communications function and structure at ECF;
- Develop guidelines, trainings and other materials to set best practices and strengthen leaders’ own internal communications skills;
- Help make sure that employees understand our organisational vision, strategy, and key priorities, and their role in delivering it;
- Drive internal communications around our organisational transformation projects to help ensure successful change management, in collaboration with our Transformation Office and other stakeholders;
- Support and/or advise on internal communications for Operations & Finance key news, policies and procedures, as well as programmatic news;
- Support executive communications and internal comms events (Ask Me Anythings, all-staff webinars, all-staff retreat, etc.) – for instance, advising on the agenda and approach, creating support materials, and ensuring follow- up. Help to devise and cascade communications to different internal stakeholders as needed;
- Collaborate with HR to help build employee engagement and a positive, shared organisational culture; create the right conditions for teams to do their work best; and devise tools to gather feedback and track engagement, well-being and success of our internal comms initiatives;
- Improve our knowledge management system (SharePoint), in collaboration with our IT team and Transformation Office;
- Manage our internal comms tools (calendar, biweekly internal newsletters, etc.).
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
- A genuine interest in the mission and values of the organisation;
- 5+ years’ experience (preference for experience in internal communications and/or change management communication);
- Writing and communication skills;
- Outstanding English skills (written and verbal), with the ability to translate complex, dense and/or sensitive materials into clear, engaging communications;
- Seeks to figure out how to best communicate with people with different backgrounds, perspectives, needs and expectations;
- An aptitude for visual / audiovisual communications would be highly appreciated;
- Stakeholder and relationship management: engages, persuades and collaborates effectively with a range of stakeholders from different cultures, backgrounds and seniority levels. Capacity to effect change by convincing others to pursue a course of action;
- Collaborative: Works effectively with a range of employees and teams based in different locations from across the organisation;
- Innovative: seeks to question the status quo; as well as improve systems and processes to make their role and the organisation more efficient;
- Proactive and organised: sets and focuses on key priorities; successfully manages multiple tasks and projects with competing deadlines;
- IT skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially PowerPoint; familiarity with knowledge management systems, newsletter/CRM and design software such as Adobe InDesign or Canva would be highly appreciated.
