Fondazione Brodolini is offering work experience opportunities for university graduates from the fields of economics and social sciences, and is currently looking for a research intern to assist its Brussels' office. The selected candidate will work closely with senior researchers and consultants. This role will allow the trainee to enhance his/her skills and knowledge in FGB’s areas of expertise and gain significant experience in applied research.

POSITION: Research intern

LOCATION: Brussels, with hybrid work options

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree (BA, MA, MSc or equivalent) in economics, social sciences or other relevant discipline;

  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods;

  • Knowledge of EU institutions and economic, employment and social policies;

  • Experience with the usage of professional statistics software is an asset;

  • Knowledge of English at mother-tongue level; knowledge of other languages is an asset;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  • Good time management skills and ability to prioritise;

  • Strong ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines;

  • Good organisational skills and ability to work independently as part of a small team.


TASKS:

  • Conduct research in the fields of economics, employment and social policies;

  • Gather background documents;

  • Support the preparation of technical proposals;

  • Assist the Management team with daily activities;

  • Edit and proofread experts’ inputs;

  • Review and format publications;

  • Offer support at project workshops where necessary.


WHAT WE OFFER:

A 6-month contract with a monthly allowance of € 1.000.

Fondazione Brodolini is a research institute specialising in employment and social policies, labour market analysis, gender studies, vocational education and training and regional development, providing evaluation expertise and technical assistance to EU and national institutions and other public sector clients. Its offices are located in Rome, Milan and Brussels.
