ABOUT ENTSO-E:

ENTSO-E is the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity. We coordinate the cross-border system operations, system development and electricity market activities of the 39 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) which cover 35 countries. The ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels provides support on technical, market and policy developments for all European TSOs in their cooperation with each other, in their joint fulfilment of their legal mandates, and in the intensive interactions with EU decision-makers, regulatory agencies, associations representing network users and other stakeholders.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate is expected to work on full time basis in the ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels. You will work within the Innovation section, reporting to the RDI Strategy and Implementation Manager. You will also cooperate with Secretariat’s staff across all sections in the frame of Research & Innovation plans and programs development.

In this role you will mainly work in the area of Research, Development, and Innovation coordination. You will ensure timely delivery of work products of ENTSO-E Working Groups especially the Research Development & Innovation Plan (WG RDIP) and the Task Force Demonstration Innovation Coordination (TF DIC).

You will also work on deliverables and policy aspects resulting from RDI activities as well as take care of close follow-ups and the implementation of the innovative solutions. Many aspects of the work products and policies involve interaction with stakeholders and ENTSO-E’s Research Development and Innovation Committee (RDIC).

Occasional travelling might be required in Europe.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will contribute to the Association as a facilitator for the respective Working Group/Task Force workstreams as well as for members cooperation. You will lead and support the implementation of tasks in different R&I projects. Responsibilities may be subject to change depending on the evolution of priorities and projects.

  • Coordinate and support the RDIC Task Force Demonstration and Innovation;

  • Support the organization of knowledge sharing activities to stimulate the implementation of RDI project results in the TSO community;

  • Develop proposals for measures and maximize the impact of the RDI project results;

  • Play a leading role in the development and organization of the implementation framework for carrying out tasks in RDI projects, especially within the Horizon Europe framework in cooperation with other Secretariat’s sections and ENTSO-E bodies or with other stakeholders;

  • Participation in RDI projects in which ENTSO-E secretariat is a consortium partner and ensure timely delivery of expected deliverables;

  • Channel knowledge generated from RDI projects and feeding it into Market, Development, and Operation Committees of ENTSO-E to increase cross-committee interactions;

  • Constant interactions and alignment between ENTSO-E internal structure, working groups, members and external stakeholders.


YOUR PROFILE:

We are looking for someone with the following skills and abilities:

  • University degree in energy/electrical engineering, power system engineering, ICT, economy or related;

  • At least 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the power system business or electric utilities combined with digital and market experience, preferably in European context;

  • Knowledge of power system market, regulatory aspects and ICT is desirable;

  • Experience with RDI activities and knowledge of the European R&I programmes;

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills;

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills in English;

  • Experience with European associations/bodies is preferable;

  • Results-oriented attitude, team-player with ability to prioritise;

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks is considered as a plus;

  • Motivation to work within a multinational and multicultural professional environment.
