JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Renewable Energy Specialist to join our team in Belgium. This role will be crucial in advancing our renewable energy initiatives and supporting the EU's commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct technology assessments for various renewable energy projects;
- Perform feasibility studies and market analyses for potential renewable energy installations;
- Carry out due diligence processes for renewable energy projects and partnerships;
- Provide project preparation support for new renewable energy initiatives;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of renewable energy projects;
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in renewable energy technologies;
- Contribute to policy development and strategic planning for renewable energy in the EU.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental, or related field);
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken);
- At least 10 years of experience;
- Proven experience in electricity and/or heat grid systems;
- Demonstrated expertise in technology assessment, feasibility studies, market studies, due diligence, and project preparation support;
- Hands-on experience in the construction and operation of renewable energy installations in one or more of the following areas : photovoltaics, solar power, onshore and offshore wind power, ocean energy, geothermal, solar thermal;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
