ABOUT EUCOLAIT:

Eucolait is a dynamic non-profit association based in Brussels, representing the interests of European companies trading dairy products. Our role is to “keep the milk moving” without undue barriers to trade. We advise members on relevant regulatory, policy and market developments and bring the dairy trading community together through our renowned events.

We are currently looking for a (Junior) Regulatory Affairs Manager to complete our team of 4 as soon as possible.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analysing European food policies and regulatory developments impacting trade, covering topics such as food safety and labelling, supply chain regulation and sustainability requirements; reporting pertinent information to member organisations and businesses;

  • Monitoring and addressing technical and sanitary barriers to trade within the EU and in export markets, in coordination with members and with the European Commission;

  • Representing the organisation in various EU Commission advisory groups;

  • Managing Eucolait’s Standing Technical Committee;

  • Assisting members with queries in relation to European, Member State and third country regulations;

  • Liaising with the European institutions and with other stakeholder organisations, in particular CELCAA.

PROFILE:

  • University degree in a relevant field (e.g. political science, law, agriculture, food or veterinary studies);

  • 2-5 years of EU affairs experience, preferably in the agri-food sector and/or trade;

  • Solid understanding of European decision-making processes;

  • Ability to digest complex legislation and to handle multiple topics simultaneously;

  • Excellent organisational, communication and writing skills, with an attention to detail;

  • Self-driven, ability to work efficiently and independently as part of a small team;

  • An excellent command of English and knowledge of 1-2 other languages;

  • Strong IT skills.

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • A stimulating and friendly working environment;

  • Interaction with a variety of companies and organisations around the world;

  • The opportunity to serve a fascinating industry;

  • Full time employment for an indefinite duration (part time arrangement possible depending on experience);

  • A competitive salary package in line with previous experience;

  • Possibility to work up to 50% remotely.
