JOB DESCRIPTION:

At FTO, a new Airtec product engineering team, we are looking for an experienced project leader to join our mission in developing best-in-class core components for our customer Oil Free Air. The team currently consists of six project/technology engineers and has three emerging technologies in its portfolio (oil free tooth, blower and claw).

Your role will be the project leader on the oil free tooth, realizing the ambitious performance and cost targets for the next generation tooth compressors. You work side-by-side with a project engineer who you actively coach. Your international project team consists of technology/process/test engineers, designers and purchasers.

You will report to the engineering team leader.

As a project leader, you will be accountable for the realization of the project deliverables and regularly report to the management steering committee. You closely follow up and manage the project budget, timing, product functional requirements and cost.

Apart from project management, you are as well responsible for the technical scope. You safeguard the technical coherence during the design phase, supported by your team members and our in-house developed tools. You nurture cross-departmental feedback and aim to optimize the cost and value of product design for all our stakeholders (from supplier, to production, to our internal and external customers).

You’ll lead, motivate, and steer the project team throughout the whole product development process. You represent the project team and the Airtec Division towards internal customers and suppliers.

You work according to the Airtec procedures to ensure that the demanded product- and process quality is met.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU:

  • Education: Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent;

  • Communication: Strong communication skills in English. Your communication skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and management;

  • Global Collaboration: Comfortable working in an international, intercultural environment;

  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in solving complex technical problems using excellent analytical abilities;

  • Project Experience: Prior experience as a project member or leader in product development projects is a plus;

  • Compressor Technology: Familiarity with compressor technology is advantageous.
