ABOUT ERRIN:
The European Regions Research and Innovation Network (ERRIN) is a well-known Brussels-based platform that gathers around 120 regional organisations from 24 European countries. ERRIN supports members to develop their R&I ecosystems, brings a place-based perspective to European research and innovation policy and funding, and facilitates access to project opportunities for members.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
The Project and Policy Manager will work on a range of activities related to the regional dimension of digital transformation and health. The Project and Policy Manager will lead ERRIN’s involvement in the Go Li.EU project, which promotes sustainable digital transformation in cities, regions and communities in the EU. As a partner in the project, ERRIN is responsible for measuring the impact of the initiative at local, regional and EU level.
The successful candidate will also facilitate ERRIN’s ICT and Health clusters, monitor key EU R&I policies and initiatives in the field of digital transformation and health, support the implementation of the activities and support members in project development.

The successful candidate will also facilitate ERRIN’s ICT and Health clusters, monitor key EU R&I policies and initiatives in the field of digital transformation and health, support the implementation of the activities and support members in project development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working groups
- Facilitate ERRIN’s ICT and Health clusters;
- Support the above-mentioned clusters to develop their annual work plans, define priorities and support their implementation;
- Stay up to date with key processes and initiatives run by the European Commission related to the two thematic areas and make sure they are embedded into the annual work plans of the clusters;
- Identify synergies and promote cross-cutting activities with ICT and Health topics and other thematic areas.
Project management and implementation
- Facilitate Go Li.EU’s online working group dedicated to monitoring and measuring sustainable digital transformation processes;
- Maintain and update of the Li.EU dashboard as well as collect data to assess its impact to local and regional authorities;
- Contribute to the sustainability of the project by engaging more local and regional authorities in the Go Li.EU movement and participate in the project’s advocacy work focusing on continued EU support for local and regional authoritiesin their digital transformation journey;
- Promote the use of LORDIMAS, an interactive digital maturity assessment tool supporting local and regional authorities in their digital transformation journey, by collaborating with a group of digital experts;
- Contribute to creating synergies between the various initiatives, projects and stakeholders at local, regional, national and European levels in the field of digital transformation.
Project and policy interface
- Actively develop and create further synergies between ERRIN projects and Working Groups in the relevant thematic areas;
- Support ERRIN's work on the Cancer Mission, its implementation and further design;
- Work closely with the Head of Projects to develop a pipeline of strategic projects in the fields of ICT and Health, building on the legacy of past activities in line with ERRIN priorities;
- Contribute to ERRIN’s internal project development process to advance ERRIN's impact in the key priority areas of the network.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant university degree;
- Good understanding of European R&I policy and related funding programmes, in particular Horizon Europe;
- Experience in ICT-related topics at local and/or regional level;
- Good understanding of key health-related policies and initiatives at EU level, such as the EU Mission on Cancer;
- Experience in working with and coordinating multiple stakeholders;
- At least 7 years’ experience in EU project management;
- Full professional proficiency in English;
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills and team attitude;
- Ability to efficiently set and handle multiple deadlines and priorities.
WHAT WE OFFER:
- We offer a permanent contract with a competitive monthly gross salary between €3700 and €4200 depending on experience. Other benefits include 13th month, hospitalisation and healthcare insurance, meal vouchers, ecocheques and transport pass for Brussels;
- The average weekly working time at ERRIN is set at 40h/week with a reduction in working time (RTT – one day off per month on top of annual leave);
- ERRIN promotes a healthy work-life balance and offers a flexible office/homeworking schedule;
- The candidate is expected to start as soon as possible and should be based in Brussels or willing to relocate at the start of their contract.
