At our Oevel site in Belgium, Cummins is developing innovative Electrolyzer technologies that can generate hydrogen for various applications with zero emissions - contributing to a safe and healthy environment for future generations.

We have a diverse team of engineers dedicated to the development of existing and future products for customers on a global scale. We are currently looking for a Process Engineering Technical Advisor to join our global team.

Reporting to the Global Process Engineering Leader, one of 3 Process Architects located globally that work collectively and individually to determine “what we do” and “how we do it” for the Processes Engineering team. In this role, the process architects will ensure that the robust processes and capable tools are in place and utilized to drive a high quality “right first time” mindset that delivers consistent results globally. They will utilize their knowledge and experience to coach and develop team members to be capable of executing work successfully and will also be the subject matter experts who provide Technical sign-off of key deliverables when necessary. They will build strong relationships with other areas of Engineering to ensure a collaborative approach to minimize inefficiencies in “hand-offs”.


Regular meetups with global / other regional process architects, and set global direction for the following:

  • Global Process engineering design guidelines while considering regional variations and exemptions;

  • Develop, maintain, and release unified process design tools / methodologies, and process engineering deliverables templates in a controlled manner across the globe;

  • Clearly define the working flow / procedures and working instructions based on established tools and deliverables templates;

  • Build up the bridge to I&C and Mechanical architects, and improve working flow that ensures the accuracy and consistency of process data being transferred;

  • Ensure tools / templates / procedures are well trained to people, implemented, and practiced in each region. Collect feedback and continuously improve for less rework, better efficiency, quality, and functional excellence;

  • Provide technical guidance to regional teams for troubleshooting, and sort out potential technical solutions that may be also applicable for other regions;

  • Be a regional point of contact Process Engineering and provide leadership to Process Engineering Team members in the region;

  • Key attendee of technical reviews and provides Technical sign-off for key deliverables where needed and can be delegate for process design for regional HyLYZER Platform Products.


  • Technical Expertise: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or STEM field, coupled with hands-on experience in product development, preferably within Hydrogen Electrolyzers;

  • Innovative Thinker: Adept at navigating complexity, with a proven ability to translate customer needs into actionable strategies and product specifications;

  • Communication Savvy: Exceptional communicator with the ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences, fostering collaboration and driving results;

  • Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic, rapidly evolving industry, demonstrating resilience and flexibility in the face of change;

  • Ownership Mentality: Self-motivated and proactive, with a keen eye for detail and a drive to excel in a fast-paced environment;

  • Knowledge of MS Office and CREO tools is preferred;

  • Proficient in English – Written and Verbal.
