We are seeking a dynamic Press & Media Officer/Advisor to join our communications team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and enhancing Eurelectric’s public image towards the press through effective media relations, content creation and strategic communication initiatives. The selected candidate will be offered a 1-year contract with option to transform it to an indefinite contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and enhancing Eurelectric’s public image towards the press through effective media relations, content creation and strategic communication initiatives. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage media relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with trade and top-tier journalists and media outlets, pitch stories and secure media coverage in leading media, coordinate and set-up press conferences, media events and interviews;
- Create qualitative write-ups: Draft, edit and distribute press releases, statements, and other media materials (i.e. podcasts, videos etc.) for press following Eurelectric’s policy outputs while also producing high-quality written content for Eurelectric's website, social media, newsletters and other communication platforms;
- Contribute to Eurelectric’s communication strategy: Track media coverage and public perceptions, providing regular analysis to senior management. Analyse media trends and adjust communications strategies towards press accordingly;
- Support events and media partnerships: Support the organisation of Eurelectric events by developing and implementing press plans for events, developing new and maintaining existing media partnerships;
- Manage media budget & subscriptions: Control Eurelectric’s media budget and manage all press-related subscriptions.
REQUIREMENT AND COMPETENCIES:
- Media studies and/or a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in the press and media field;
- EU policy enthusiast with a deep understanding and personal interest for EU policies. Eager to learn about the EU electricity industry and contribute to Europe’s decarbonisation, energy independence and competitiveness through clean electrification;
- Outgoing personality with the ability to connect with people at all levels, build strong relationships and communicate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
- Team player and able to work under tight deadlines;
- Knowledge of SEO to optimise content for improved search engine rankings a plus;
- Native English or equivalent.
