The purpose of this position is to support Inclusive Quality Education and Early Childhood Development specific programmatic thematic teams within the Global Programme Team by coordinating networks, enhancing cross-organizational learning, information sharing, and capacity strengthening. The Global Network & Knowledge Coordinator — IQE and ECD will facilitate the effective administration of the IQE and ECD networks and support the growth and impact of the programme portfolio through robust knowledge management and communication strategies.
Inclusive Quality Education and Early Childhood Development are two of six priority thematic areas (Areas of Global Distinctiveness) within Plan International. The goal of Inclusive Quality Education is that all vulnerable and excluded children — particularly girls — access and complete inclusive quality education from pre-primary to secondary level. The global of Early Childhood Development is that girls and boys under eight years from vulnerable and excluded groups receive the care, supports and services they need to survive, grow up healthy and develop to their full potential, free from gendered norms and attitudes that are discriminatory and limiting. includes gender-responsive parenting; early learning; maternal and newborn child health; and nutrition; and water, sanitation and hygiene.
This role is crucial in implementing the principle of "locally led, globally connected," ensuring that learnings from Country Offices are integrated into global practices and vice versa. The role aims to enhance the effectiveness and reach of programs, ensuring impactful interventions and sustainable outcomes.

DIMENSIONS OF THE ROLE:
- Budget: Mile this role does not manage any budget directly, it assists the IQE and ECD programme Leads in keeping track of specific programmatic activity budget;
- Direct Reports: This position does not have any direct reports;
- Key Stakeholders:
- Internal: Global Programme Team, Knowledge Management Advisor, MERL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning) team, PACE team and other key functions within the Global Hub;
- External: Colleagues from Country Offices (CO), Regional Hubs and National Offices (NO) within programme departments.
- Type of Communication: organizes large network meetings online and, if possible, face- to-face. Engages in regular communication with internal stakeholders to coordinate IQE and ECD network activities, share information, and facilitate learning opportunities;
- Reach of the Role: This role has a global reach, interacting with colleagues and stakeholders from various regions and countries. The role spans multiple thematic areas, especially IQE and ECD, within the Global Programme Team, focusing on cross - organizational learning, information sharing, and capacity building.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Network Management and Support (30%)
- Provide effective coordination of the IQE and ECD networks, enhancing cross- organizational learning, information sharing, and capacity building;
- Organize and facilitate regular IQE and ECD network meetings, developing agendas in collaboration with the relevant team/network leads and engaging colleagues from various offices, including on policy and influencing dimensions of the thematic areas;
- Promote cross-learning among IQE and ECD networks, and with other AOGDs as relevant;
- Maintain updated contact details of IQE and ECD technical experts and other network members, ensuring effective on-boarding and off-boarding processes;
- Act as a key focal point for the IQE and ECD thematic networks, providing direct support to colleagues and connecting them with others who can support their needs;
- Set up and maintain processes and tools to respond to ad hoc requests and feedback from relevant network members, ensuring timely support and response, and the recording of all requests received and addressed, and their outcomes;
- Support the development and monitoring of IQE and ECD annual action plans and budgets, and help to maintain IQE and ECD calendars to ensure smooth coordination of activities;
- Assist in facilitating IQE and ECD representation/participation in internal and external networks, coalitions, and initiatives and in documenting and sharing as appropriate learning outcomes.
Internal Communications and Knowledge Management (30%)
- Manage internal communications for IQE and ECD , including developing and disseminating newsletters and updates;
- Develop and implement a learning plan, maintaining a regular schedule of learning offers (e.g., courses, webinars, newsletters) for technical staff and ensuring regular monitoring and evaluation of their effectiveness and recording of their outcomes;
- Promote IQE and ECD best practices through the development of case studies and other learning materials, ensuring dissemination across the organization;
- Enable the use of Plan International's internal and external knowledge management platforms to maintain and continually update a database of resources, ensuring accessibility and relevance for the IQE and ECD networks;
- Collaborate with the Knowledge Management Advisor to maintain IQE and ECD relevant intranet pages, libraries, and repositories, exploring sustainable and user-friendly solutions;
- Support in translating key resources and materials.
Programme Portfolio Growth and Impact (20%)
- Support the IQE and ECD Programme Leads in developing and rolling out programming and influencing guidance aligned with global strategies;
- Facilitate the engagement of IQE and ECD network members in global initiatives, supporting the practical application of resources in countries;
- Document and promote the sharing and use of insights and learning from country offices, promoting the principle of "locally led, globally connected;"
- Contribute to the scaling and replication of successful IQE, ECD and cross AOGDs program models, driving impactful interventions and sustainable outcomes;
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of IQE and ECD network activities on program outcomes, ensuring continuous improvement and adaptation.
Project Support (10%)
- Provide support and coordination for ongoing projects related to the IQE and ECD including the development of new tools and training resources;
- Assist IQE and ECD Programme Leads with administrative tasks, including reporting, data management, and budget coordination.
Professional Development and Capacity Building (10%)
- Support the design and facilitation of capacity-strengthening initiatives, focusing on face- to-face training with some online and hybrid opportunities;
- Support staff in accessing and using available frameworks, guidance and tools as well as available expertise from within the organisation towards the design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and learning of and from impactful programmes and projects;
- Promote professional development opportunities for network members, including secondments, shadowing, and participation in relevant conferences.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Qualifications/ experience requirements
- At least two years of work experience and/or demonstrable interests/achievements in at least three of the following areas:
- Facilitation/coordination of networks or communities of practice;
- Design and facilitation of knowledge management platforms and processes; and prior use of relevant platforms/software and tools (e.g. Sharepoint, other online libraries).
- Design and facilitation of learning opportunities (face-to-face, virtual or hybrid) using a variety of software, tools and facilitation methodologies:
- Communication: use of social media and platforms for internal development/outreach and/or graphic design (e.g. Teams, Workplace, InDesign or equivalent);
- Data: data collection/management and/or analysis (for instance using Excel, Epi-info, SPSS or other).
- Proficiency in different platforms including SharePoint (including page design, document/library, news and event management etc.), Google Analytics, Microsoft 365 suite (including Teams), Workplace etc;
- Interest in technology and its application towards better engagement, learning and sharing in an organisational context as well as with partners and diverse groups with differing levels of digital literacy;
- Ability to take initiative and work independently;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Ability to analyse, collate, structure and condense complex technical content into accessible, practical messages and tools;
- Excellent organizational & time management skills;
