To strengthen our multimedia team, we are currently looking for a: Multimedia Journalist

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Multimedia Journalist, you will be responsible for filming, editing videos and podcasts, researching topics and suitable interviewees, fact-checking, interviewing people, and writing scripts. You would be responsible for all aspects of production, from planning to the final product, sometimes working independently and sometimes with other producers or journalists. You will join the multimedia team and report to Euractiv’s editor-in-chief.

PROFILE: 

Essential

  • University degree in journalism or related field;

  • Good understanding of and interest in EU policy;

  • Strong storytelling skills and the ability to master all aspects of production;

  • Comfortable being on screen;

  • Able to take initiative and work independently;

  • Excellent command of English, other languages are a plus;

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop);

  • Able to work with a wide range of camera systems.


Desired

  • Knowledge of publishing on streaming platforms;

  • Used to working with Sony cameras;

  • Additional European languages, especially French or German.


WHAT WE OFFER:

This is a full-time employment contract under Belgian law (“contrat à durée indéterminée”), with salary and responsibilities commensurate to the candidate’s level of experience.
