POSITION:
As Marketing & Business Development Lead in the Member of the Marketing & Business Development Department you will have the opportunity to create, pursue and realise opportunities to help our Company grow and boost revenues.
This will involve helping to establish new strategies, targets and prospects, with the goal of creating short, mid and long-term value for our business and supporting and providing guidance to the Technical Departments, Divisions and Teams to actively assess the market and secure opportunities to achieve the company’s goals.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify, qualify and nurture opportunities;
- Maintain awareness of the competitive market landscape and evolution of specific domains;
- Contribute to establishing the Company Strategy;
- Lead the establishment of the business development plan for specific domains/divisions;
- Lead or contribute to bid teams, composed of business and technical stakeholders, to prepare proposals;
- Develop your network creating and maintaining long-standing relationships with space industry partners and professionals;
- Market the Company capabilities at events and on-line.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or scientific discipline;
- At least 2 years of experience in managing bids and supporting marketing activities;
- Ability to work in a Team and share business intelligence;
- Able to cope with schedules and deadlines effectively under healthy pressure;
- Be inquisitive and enjoy learning new things;
- Be accountable, enthusiastic, problem solver, sharp attention to detail;
- Natural ability to build relationships;
- Excellent written and spoken English;
- Excellent communications and negotiation skills;
- Willingness to travel to meet clients and attend industry and institutional events.
CONSIDERED AS ASSETS:
- A Master’s degree in an engineering or scientific discipline;
- Technical engineering or scientific experience in a relevant domain (space or defence);
- Education, qualification or experience with marketing and/or business development;
- Experience with preparing proposals for the European Space Agency, the European Commission and large industries;
- Knowledge of working with European, American and other country’s Institutions and Industries;
- Fluency in other European languages with a preference for Dutch or French.
