JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Liaison Officer (LO) plays a key role in ensuring effective communication and smooth coordination between stakeholders and the event team. This role is crucial for the successful execution of the event, with a focus on diplomacy, organization, and professionalism.
The responsibilities of the Liaison Officer include acting as the primary point of contact for high-level participants, facilitating their logistical and engagement needs, and managing communication to ensure all interactions are seamless.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as the primary point of contact for high-level participants, including delegates, speakers, and VIPs;
- Coordinate arrival, registration, and seating for assigned participants;
- Support the event manager in implementing the event’s agenda;
- Maintain clear and professional communication with stakeholders and the event team;
- Represent the event with professionalism and diplomacy, adhering to all guidelines and protocols;
- Monitor session timings and notify speakers or participants as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in English, French and/Dutch, any other language is a plus;
- Experience with International or EU Institutions;
- Capacity to think on your feet and address unexpected challenges calmly and effectively in a dynamic event setting;
- Background in international relations, political science, public affairs, or a similar field is highly valued;
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain attention to detail under deadlines.
