The Alliance Cloud team is looking for a technically oriented and motivated junior Test Engineer to help improving our tests and improve our deliveries.
The successful candidate will be sensitive to quality, eager to learn, understanding business needs, capable of working remotely with people. A strong team player, committed to deliver and able to drive test automation. He/she will join a worldwide team of highly skilled IT professionals and have the opportunity to further expand his/her technical and testing expertise while at the same time building a solid financial business understanding.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
- You will be working closely with internal customers, technical analysts and other engineers to develop your product/service. Under the guidance of a more senior team member, you will design, execute, automate tests in line with agreed requirements, and will work with other engineers of your team to provide the requested functionalities end to end;
- You will use a range of proven technologies (Selenium, Robot Framework, Jenkins, JIRA X-Ray, Red Hat OpenShift, Docker) with lots of room for experimentation to bring true value to our customers;
- You will also assist with enhancing and maintaining continuous integration/deployment frameworks, and you will constantly strive to further automate and optimize where possible;
- You will have the opportunity to develop yourself and others in a true BizDevOps agile environment;
- You will work in a truly international environment with main hubs across three continents. Although we are a relatively small company (3000 employees), we have global reach and operate fast.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- University degree in Computer Science or equivalent;
- Experience in a similar position or within a testing/development environment is a plus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In a DevOps way, develop and maintain test specifications and test cases, creating sets of automated and non-automated tests;
- Propose and enhance procedures aligned with DevOps practices to help speed up the testing phase;
- Contribute to testing process improvement efforts, focusing on test automation.
COMPETENCY PROFILE:
Professional skills
- Very good communication skills (both written and oral);
- Fast learner;
- Team player, empowered with the ability to drive, adapt and respond to change;
- Agile experience is an asset.
Technical skills
Must-haves
- Coding skills (Python and/or Java);
- Knowledge in basic Windows and Linux operational tasks (package installations, file system management, standard windows/unix shell commands);
- Knowledge of network, XML and security techniques and principles.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge in Selenium/Robot Framework;
- Experience in testing methodology/risk management;
- Experience in continuous integration/delivery build environment: GIT, Jenkins/Cloudbees;
- Experience with Jira XRay or other Test Management Tool.
