We are looking for a junior Business Controller who will become an indispensable resource to support the Customer Operations team with financial insights & acumen, to help management in steering the business in a better way and contribute to the overall company performance.
WORKING IN THE BUSINESS CONTROLLING TEAM:
As a junior Business Controller, you are jointly responsible for the reporting, financial support & budgeting of a part of our Customer Operations business unit. You will perform analysis and create insights to support the business in their daily operations as well as decision making. This includes, but is not limited to:

YOUR PROFILE AS OUR JUNIOR BUSINESS CONTROLLER:
WORKING IN THE BUSINESS CONTROLLING TEAM:
As a junior Business Controller, you are jointly responsible for the reporting, financial support & budgeting of a part of our Customer Operations business unit. You will perform analysis and create insights to support the business in their daily operations as well as decision making. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Contribute to the monthly financial close, including variance analyses;
- Analyses of KPIs, product and business analyses;
- Budgeting and forecast updates;
- Challenge business cases.
Concretely, this translates into the following tasks
- Ensure the correct content of the budgets and forecasts in collaboration with your business partners;
- Responsible for all operational activities, coordination & follow up on the monthly closing for your assigned sub-department, working closely with your manager/colleagues;
- Preparing monthly reporting (explaining variances versus budget/forecast, following up on key KPIs, operational analysis, ...) for:
- Finance as input for the closing meeting with all controllers and FP&A team;
- The business to be able to advise the budget owners around the efficiency of their activities and processes as well as cash flow optimization.
- Supervise compliance with (financial) procedures on purchasing, ordering, opex/capex split, ... partly through approval of POs/invoices;
- Work together with HR to follow up on application of specific labor guidance within your sub-departments;
- Preparing and maintaining spreadsheet models for specific analyses, closing activities;
- Reviewing business cases for investment requests in your assigned sub-department;
- Following up on ad hoc inquiries.

YOUR PROFILE AS OUR JUNIOR BUSINESS CONTROLLER:
- You've always wanted to know what the heart of Telenet looks like and would like to discover the exciting Telco world;
- You have a Master's degree in an economics discipline or equivalent through experience;
- You have min. 2 years of professional experience, preferably in a controller position or internal/external audit;
- You can work independently and are hands-on;
- You are accurate with numbers; you have good synthetic and analytical skills;
- You are a team player;
- You are discrete, flexible and feel at home in a rapidly changing business environment, but don't shy away from more routine tasks either;
- You have a strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint and affinity with financial systems (accounting, reporting);
- You have knowledge of English (Dutch would be beneficial).
