We are looking for an IT Web & Content Channels Engineer to join our IT Commercial Services team at our headquarters in Anderlecht, Belgium.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
You will be responsible for aligning digital IT Content Channels (Web, eDetail, and eMail) with business objectives. You will collaborate closely with Brand, Agency, and internal stakeholders to document and manage changes to frontend Meta Frameworks (Next.js, Drupal, etc.), ensuring seamless digital experiences. Your expertise in traditional and decoupled architectures will be key in leading a team to deliver high-quality solutions.

You will engage with Architecture, Engineering, UI/UX, and Delivery teams, ensuring that technology solutions not only meet business needs but actively enhance content delivery capabilities. This includes working across both MACH (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless) and Monolithic content architectures.

YOUR ROLE:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align technology solutions with business needs;
- Lead the engineering of a platform-independent MACH architecture across Motivation, Strategy, Business, Application, and Technology Layers;
- Ensure solutions drive Modern Channel Foundation initiatives to enhance content delivery;
- Provide strategic leadership in MACH CMS architecture, shaping our digital ecosystem;
- Oversee technical delivery, including custom development, integrations, and data migration for CMS platforms;
- Establish and enforce engineering governance to ensure consistency and scalability;
- Define standardized design processes to ensure interoperability and quality control;
- Manage strategic partnerships, ensuring effective deployment of resources;
- Conduct deep dives to ensure technology solutions actively enhance content delivery;
- Monitor and optimize infrastructure investments to align with development, performance, and security needs;
- Drive consolidated channel implementation across Web, eDetail, and eMail for consistent delivery;
- Support the development of Content Model Capability (Backend CMS, CIAM) and Template Capability (Frontend CMS, UX);
- Implement Content Performance strategies to maximize business effectiveness;
- Enhance Commercial Content Work Management and Evidence-based Content Capabilities (Key Message, Claims, and Reference Linking).
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Engineering, or Computer Science-related fields;
- Experience in managing stakeholders within a multinational environment is required;
- 5+ years of deep expertise in CMS software engineering, including headless CMS, API design, and content modeling;
- Strong knowledge of Next.js, JavaScript, PHP, Serverless functions, Security (OWASP standards), Microservices, API design, Cloud-native technologies, and Drupal;
- Proven experience as a Solutions Engineer or similar role, focusing on modern application architecture;
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, DevOps, and agile frameworks;
- Expertise in aligning technology solutions with business objectives, especially in content delivery;
- Proficiency in backend and frontend CMS technologies.
