ABOUT ENTSO-E:

ENTSO-E is the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity. We coordinate the cross-border system operations, system development and electricity market activities of the 40 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) which cover 36 countries. The ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels provides support on technical, market and policy developments for all European TSOs in their cooperation with each other, in their joint fulfilment of their legal mandates, and in the intensive interactions with EU decision-makers, regulatory agencies, associations representing network users and other stakeholders.

OUR OFFER:

We are looking for a highly skilled ICT Intern to join the ICT section. Are you passionate about ICT Networks, ICT Infrastructure and want to get experience on project management/coordination? If yes, ENTSO-E ICT Communication Networks team is the right place for you.

You will be offered the opportunity to:

  • Gain valuable sound knowledge on how a pan-European, multiservice, ICT network operates;

  • Gain experience on coordinating technical activities between a large number of stakeholders;

  • Improve your presentation skills related to preparing effective presentations and progress reports and present them in working groups;

  • Gain valuable knowledge on how the decision-making process of a European organization works;

  • Gain high level understanding on European electricity grid processes and applications;

  • Build and expand your professional network;

  • Be part of a multicultural and dynamic environment;

  • A monthly amount up to €700 is foreseen as reimbursement for commuting and living costs.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

With the supervision of a manager, you will:

  • Provide support to the working groups and task teams working on the ICT Networks area;

  • Provide support in any ICT Networks activity needs to be coordinated between ENTSO-E and our members (Feedback collection, complex incidents resolution, technical migrations or implementations, etc);

  • Prepare status reports for the ongoing activities to be presented on the ENTSO-E Working Groups, Steering Groups or Committees.


YOUR PROFILE:

  • Be a current full-time student & set up an internship agreement between the university & ENTSO-E;

  • Be available on a full-time basis for a minimum of 6 months;

  • Be eligible to travel and stay in Belgium for the duration of the internship;

  • Provide proof of health insurance coverage by university;

  • Be a fluent communicator in English;

  • Strong appetite for energy data, data science, data engineering, data visualisation;

  • Enjoy collaborating in an international environment.
