We are looking for a talented Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join our team specializing in Engineering for Hydrogenics Europe in Oevel, Belgium and requires global travel.
YOUR ROLE:
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Conduct site surveys in support of proposals, site selection and site requirements definition;
- Plan, execute and supervise the commissioning to the final handover/acceptance of equipment;
- Conduct site readiness surveys prior to dispatching equipment and personnel;
- Inhouse testing of our manufactured equipment;
- Resolve installation issues, procedures and methods by working with management, engineering, quality control and contractors;
- Perform installation and commissioning of new systems within the schedule and budget;
- Promote efficient flow of information and ensure complete and proper record keeping of commissioned equipment;
- Manage subcontractors on location.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Degree in engineering (field or electro mechanics) or qualified by relevant experience;
- Hands on, practical engineering experience –including the ability to interpret schematic diagrams and technical specification documents;
- Demonstrate a tenacious personality and the ability to manage a high volume of customer needs at any one time;
- Flexible to travel at short notice, and available to travel to sites in any global location (travel is 40- 50% of the role).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/ Experience
- College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is required;
- Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making. Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.
