POLITICO is looking for an experienced and motivated Human Resource Business Partner for Belgium. In this role, you will be supporting all levels of employees across each team from supporting leaders with strategic initiatives, partnering with people managers on performance management and talent development initiatives, and connecting with individual contributors, focused on their engagement and retention.

This role is part of a dynamic team that is involved with a number of company-wide initiatives that support POLITICO’s growth, strategy and talent. As we evolve our talent practices, there is an opportunity to own high-impact projects.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Partner with each business unit to understand their talent goals and needs, to drive change forward;

  • Conduct regular check-ins with leaders and managers to discuss talent initiatives;

  • Support the HR VP Europe with workforce planning implementation;

  • Coordinate and manage key projects that occur annually, including: Employee Engagement Survey, Annual Performance Reviews, EOY Budgeting and Merit Process; Support the deployment of a new HRIS platform;

  • Translate complex HR information into clear e-mails for staff on Human Resources related matters;

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to track open roles, anticipate structural changes and ensure a smooth communication between the HR team and hiring managers;

  • Manage off-boarding process, like exit surveys and interviews;

  • Manage data entry and paperwork associated with employment actions, like offer letter and employment agreements.


WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • 4-5+ years of progressive Human Resource Business Partner experience;

  • Strong knowledge of Belgian labor law, regulations and HR practices;

  • Fluent English & French, written and spoken;

  • Broad business understanding;

  • Experience with performance management;

  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple clients;

  • Adept at communicating effectively and empathetically across all levels of internal and external stakeholders while inspiring confidence;

  • Strong project management skills with an ability to identify and analyze business and organizational needs;

  • Ability to identify areas where the HRBP team can streamline processes;

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive HR decisions;

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
