ABOUT ENTSO-E:

ENTSO-E is the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity. We coordinate the cross-border system operations, system development and electricity market activities of the 40 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) which cover 36 countries. The ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels provides support on technical, market and policy developments for all European TSOs in their cooperation with each other, in their joint fulfilment of their legal mandates, and in the intensive interactions with EU decision-makers, regulatory agencies, associations representing network users and other stakeholders.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a highly professional and experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) with exceptional interpersonal skills able to interact at all levels within an international and changing environment. In this role, you will be the main point of contact for the business, providing support and advice on any HR matters that may arise in the workplace. Your function is crucial to our organisation in providing the best working experience for our employees at all levels. You work flexibly and adapt to the changing environment quickly.

You will work in the ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels in the People, Talent & Culture section, reporting directly to the Talent & People Development Manager. The People, Talent & Culture section is comprised of 10 persons. You will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid model, allowing for a blend of remote and in-office work to support a good work-life balance.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will contribute to the Association work, primarily supporting the managers and sections in the day-to-day management of their HR matters. Responsibilities may change depending on the evolution of priorities and projects.

HR day-to-day activities

  • Lead the design and implementation of the Talent management strategy (performance, promotion, career path, succession plan...) at ENTSO-E;

  • Develop the Talent Management reporting and presentations to help the executive management take the right decisions linked to the association strategy;

  • Lead the Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) program and implementation of initiatives and reporting;

  • Ensure clear communication adapted to the audience and demonstrate a strong change management;

  • Be the point of contact for employee HR concerns (handling conflicts, resolving issues, providing support on relationship matters);

  • Organise follow-up for new hires;

  • Conduct interviews with staff as part of HR processes and policies;

  • Provide HR onboarding (explanation of HR processes, information about the team etc), coaching and training for new managers;

  • Update and maintain HR policies and procedures aligned with Belgian Labour law and new legislations;

  • Guide and advise managers on their daily HR responsibilities, ensuring they are equipped to manage and support their team members effectively;

  • Collaborate closely with the Talent & People Development Manager and provide backup when needed;

  • Be able to interact with all levels in the organisation and advise the different stakeholders (managers, heads of section);

  • Lead the employee engagement surveys and act on the feedback received;

  • Assist in change initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and clear communication, helping employees adjust to new processes, structures, or technologies.


HR Strategy

  • Work on fostering Association culture and continue to develop the ENTSO-E Values and Culture;

  • Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategy with business goals;

  • Advise management on goal setting, feedback, and performance reviews, as well as on employee engagement and morale;

  • Support on the development of career progression paths for employees and performance improvement initiatives;

  • Enhance retention strategies and propose concrete actions for implementation;

  • Support the Talent & People Development Manager with the preparation and follow-up of performance management processes and the development plan;

  • Responsible for the leadership development and succession planning together with the Talent & People Development Manager.


YOUR PROFILE:

We are looking for someone with the following skills and abilities:

  • University degree in Human Resources or equivalent with 5-7 years’ experience as HR Business Partner;

  • Be able to navigate a complex organisation with a wide pool of international resources;

  • Good knowledge of Belgian Labour law;

  • Experience with social partnerships is a plus;

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence to manage complex HR matters;

  • Trustworthy contact person for staff and management for all relevant questions;

  • Fast learner, resilient and able to adapt easily to a continuously changing work environment;

  • Service oriented with ambition to provide value at all times and every opportunity;

  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English, knowledge of French or Dutch is strongly recommended;

  • Ability to work independently and in team setting with competing deadlines;

  • Proactive and results-oriented attitude;

  • Motivation to work within a multinational and multicultural professional environment, preferably with Association experience;
