YOUR CONTRIBUTION WILL BE:
- Being responsible for first-line HR for the Brussels office and reporting into our Team Coordinator in Brussels for any questions concerning social legislation, holidays, thematic leave, time management, HR processes, etc;
- Providing proactive HR advice and support to everyone in the office, being a visible and fully embedded HR presence and a trusted advisor;
- Facilitating all recruitment activity for the Brussels office, working closely with headquarters recruitment team;
- Coordinating the lifecycle of employees, including running the onboarding, supporting new joiners, and conducting exit interviews but as well performing the annual appraisals review process & internal surveys;
- Monitoring employment contracts: updating of employment contract templates, drafting and reviewing staff employment contracts;
- Ensuring successful and accurate completion of monthly payroll;
- Providing support to coaching and developing the local BE leadership team in HR related issues to ensure they have the appropriate HR skills and knowledge;
- Representing the BE HR function within the international HR community at FOUR PAWS;
- Comprehensive experience and knowledge about insurance.
YOUR PROFILE IDEALLY ILLUSTRATES:
- Great affinity to animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission;
- A proven experience in a generalist HR role and C&B role in Belgium;
- A solid knowledge of C&B in Belgium;
- A very good working knowledge of Belgian labour law and best practice HR management;
- Language skills: French and English;
- IT / technical skills: Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word and Excel;
- Soft skills and personal values: We know that not everything can always run smoothly in a sometimes-complex environment like ours. But if we can count on your strong communication even in that case, then this position is for you;
- You are highly autonomous; you have good organizational skills, and you can easily manage priorities in different files;
- Passionate about Payroll & Social Legislation, you will keep abreast of the latest developments and make recommendations for change as required;
- Comfortable accepting instructions and guidance from different angles;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team but comfortable working on their own;
- Ability to be flexible to ensure the needs of the organization are met;
- Proven ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
