YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Head, Public Relations plays an important role in promoting the image of Hong Kong and managing public relations activities in Europe. Duties include:
- Strategic Public Relations Planning: Formulate and execute public relations plans through various physical and/or online activities and channels;
- Media Management: Establish and maintain media contacts, organise media and publicity events and manage press relations;
- Media Monitoring: Monitor media reports on Hong Kong and issues of interest; handle media and public inquiries;
- Content Development: Develop publicity and promotional contents;
- Cultural Exchange: Assist in planning and organisation of events and activities aiming at fostering cultural exchanges between Hong Kong and Europe.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate should have:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent;
- 10 years of relevant experience in journalism/publicity/public relations/event management/marketing and promotion or related fields, including 6 years of proven managerial experience, are preferred;
- Language Proficiency:
- Excellent command of English;
- Working knowledge in either French or Dutch;
- Knowledge of additional languages (in particular Chinese) is considered an advantage.
- Good interpersonal communication and presentation skills;
- Social media savvy;
- Proven record in planning and organising large-scale events.
CONDITIONS:
- Working Conditions: This position is based in Brussels and may require occasional travel;
- Salary and Benefits: The salary for this position will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
