UITP (International Association of Public Transport) is a passionate champion of sustainable urban mobility and is the only worldwide network to bring together all public transport stakeholders and all sustainable transport modes. We have more than 1,900 member companies coming from over 100 countries. Our members are public transport authorities and operators, policy decision-makers, research institutes and the public transport supply and service industry.
We are currently looking for a: Head of Transformation (position based in Brussels)
MAIN DUTIES:
The Head of Transformation is leading the coordination and implementation of activities steering the business transformation efforts, the professionalisation and digital transformation of the organisation and is instrumental for the implementation of its strategy. He/she accompanies change and supervises all steps of the transition.
He/She is responsible for the implementation of the People First strategy under the leadership of the Sr director for strategy and transformation. He/She acts as the main point of contacts for the implementation of the projects under People First strategy.
The person will also act as Owner of the digital environment and the digital strategy, responsible for steering the digital transformation of the organisation in close cooperation with the IT unit. The Head of Transformation is in particular responsible for the deployment of a seamless digital environment supportive of UITP strategy. The digital project manager reports to the Head of Transformation.
The Head of Transformation works in close cooperation with the Project Management Lead and under the supervision of the Senior Director for Strategy and Transformation to ensure the coordination and efficiency of the implementation of UITP strategy and improvement of practices and processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the implementation of People First strategy and monitor the progress;
- Seek and implement opportunities for improvement of existing practices and processes across UITP to support staff and members experience;
- Optimize efficient user experience of all UITP digital tools/deliverables and services to support staff and UITP members.
These include:
- Leading the change at each stage of the transformation plan, managing the team and monitoring the pre-defined performance indicators, deploying the solutions;
- Advising, collaborating and communicating with internal teams to explain and engage teams at all levels in the transformation of the organisation;
- Collaborating closely with the Project Manager lead for the delivery of transformative projects and programmes and the Head of IT for the deployment of the digital environment;
- Leading the Digital Core Team and make it a valuable asset in the implementation of UITP’s future digital recommendations and strategy;
- Monitoring business and technology trends to identify the tools and solutions best suited to the organisation's challenges;
- Fulfilling the responsibilities and tasks according to the RISE values of UITP.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Skills and qualifications for the position
- Masters degree , MBA preferred;
- 5 years of managerial experience, ideally a first professional experience as Head of Transformation;
- Advanced technological skillset and a demonstrated history with technology;
- Exceptional team management skills, leadership, coaching skills, culture of feedback;
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English;
- Extensive industry knowledge with an eye towards the future, competences in Change management;
- Business sense: a deep knowledge of UITP’s business and its challenges;
- Strategic thinking: he/she must see the big picture of a company's technological change. Furthermore, they must understand the challenges that business units face and how to address them.
