The vibrant Ageas Corporate Centre in Brussels is home to a variety of Group level functions including, amongst others, Risk, Finance, Legal & Compliance, Investor Relations, Human Resources, Strategy, Business Development and Corporate Communications. It sets out the long term strategy for Ageas and coordinates numerous initiatives across the Group to help realise the strategic ambitions. The Corporate Centre also facilitates knowledge and skills sharing amongst its local operating entities and JV’s, creating strong connections and leveraging on local strengths. It represents the Ageas Group towards external parties, managing relations with analysts, retail and institutional investors, regulators, rating agencies and the media.
YOUR FUNCTION:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our team and lead finance-related projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, be a strong team player and a deep understanding of finance processes and systems. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within established timelines and budgets. As a Finance Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic finance-related projects that support the overall growth and efficiency of Ageas. Working at Group level, you will coordinate various finance transformation initiatives to enhance operational excellence, reporting processes, and financial performance. You will collaborate closely with different departments to ensure the smooth execution of projects that align with Ageas' strategic objectives.

Your responsibilities include
- Lead and manage finance-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all project objectives are met;
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budget management;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and other departments, to ensure project alignment and successful execution;
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success;
- Communicate project status, updates, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management and project sponsors;
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices in project management and finance;
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned in future projects;
- Facilitating knowledge transfer and collaboration across local teams to ensure project success and alignment with Ageas' long-term goals.
YOUR PROFILE:
- You hold an academic degree in Economics, Finance, or Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus;
- You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in financial services or insurance;
- You possess strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive large-scale finance initiatives;
- Experience in finance transformation, and change management is highly desirable;
- You have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proactive and results-driven mindset;
- You are fluent (oral and written) in English, with proficiency in Dutch and/or French being a plus;
- You are a team player but can also work independently, taking ownership of projects and delivering high-quality results;
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
