JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will support the ECAS’ EU Rights Programme Director in events’ organisation, outreach to diverse audiences (citizens, civil society stakeholders, policy makers, researchers) and logistical support.

The successful candidate will support the ECAS’ EU Rights Programme Director in events’ organisation, outreach to diverse audiences (citizens, civil society stakeholders, policy makers, researchers) and logistical support.

Commitment to ECAS’ mission and values is a must.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the EU Rights Programme Director and working in close collaboration with ECAS’ Communications Manager, the Candidate will:

  • Organise events;

  • Map and outreach to relevant stakeholders;

  • Draft meetings’ minutes and events’ reports;

  • Draft content for social media;

  • Deliver logistical support to the ECAS’s EU Rights activities.


KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BA or Master’s Degree in European Studies or any other relevant field;

  • Excellent knowledge of the EU decision-making process;

  • Knowledge of social media tools and platforms;

  • Experience in engaging diverse audiences through different means;

  • Experience in designing/managing online content for social media, including visuals;

  • Communications experience.


SKILLS:

  • English language proficiency – written and oral;

  • Language proficiency in German is an advantage;

  • Excellent organisational skills;

  • Ability to formulate messages in a clear, concise and appealing manner;

  • Content creation and analytical skills for digital media;

  • Friendly, social, proactive;

  • Creative, innovative and result-orientated;

  • Team player, capable also of performing tasks independently;

  • Capable of working under pressure and observing strict deadlines;

  • Capable of multitasking.


CONTRACT:

The position is for 6 months and is Brussels-based. It is open to candidates who are interested to carry out an internship under a Belgian contract.
