ABOUT CEPI:
Cepi is the European association representing the pulp & paper industry. We offer a wide range of renewable and recyclable wood-based fibre solutions to EU citizens: from packaging to textile, hygiene and tissue products, printing and graphic papers as well as speciality papers, but also bio-chemicals for food and pharmaceuticals, bio-composites and bioenergy. Through its 18 national associations, Cepi gathers 490 companies operating 885 mills across Europe and directly employing more than 179,000 people.
ABOUT CIRCULAR CHOICES:
Cepi leads the Circular Choices coalition, which brings together 14 EU trade associations that represent providers of high-quality and renewable products and packaging made from wood, fibre, paper and board, as well as renewable energy solutions to decarbonise our economy. Our messages and efforts are supported by a further six EU trade associations that advocate on behalf of EU forest owners and managers. The coalition has come together to raise awareness amongst EU policymakers of the importance of bio-based materials in the circular economy, and the renewably sourced, sustainable, and low-carbon solutions that our value chains provide. Our coalition has developed a common policy vision for 2030 that underscores the opportunities of moving to a circular and resilient EU bioeconomy, and the policy and market levers that are needed to get there.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The successful applicant will work from our offices in Avenue Louise (Brussels), with the possibility to partial telework. The successful candidate will be working closely with industry experts within a small and dynamic multinational team under the supervision of the other team members. This internship would provide valuable insights, contacts and experience for candidates interested in public affairs, communications and policy development in a fast- evolving sector, involving the EU institutions and various relevant stakeholders.

We offer a one-year, full-time paid internship starting ideally in January 2024 (exact date to be agreed on), which will be settled under Belgian law and include a competitive remuneration package commensurate to the candidate’s experience. This year could be extended into a permanent contract.
We offer you to represent an industry that truly makes a difference in reaching a climate- neutral, resource efficient and circular society. You will have the opportunity to expand your industrial and business knowledge as well as your professional network. We expect you to contribute in shaping the role.
