JOB DESCRIPTION:

The EU Funding Award Officer’s primary responsibility is to work with EU Funding AwardManager to execute multiple, concurrent calls for proposals and participants, across the organisation.

SPECIFIC TASKS:

The Junior Call Officer´s specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

Working with our Call Manager to execute multiple, concurrent calls for proposals and participants across the organisation:

  • Monitoring and continually updating the workplan for the Call Team;

  • Managing assigned processes g. Evaluation and Feedback to Applicants.


Managing Evaluation:

  • Maintain database of Evaluators;

  • Managing Calls for Evaluators;

  • Resource management per Call;

  • Contracting;

  • Invoicing in cooperation with the Finance Department.


Managing Feedback to Applicants:

  • Writing/answering professional emails to external parties;

  • Editing evaluator feedback reports;

  • Sending acceptance/rejection letters and feedback to applicants;

  • Sending official notice of grant approval.


Scheduling multiple, concurrent meetings with internal, external staff and applicants.  Manage meetings.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

The position is a junior officer role.  We are looking for a detail-oriented, reliable, flexible colleague able to work in a fast-paced environment.  Experience with Outlook, Sharepoint, Word, Powerpoint, Teams and Excel and comfortable with learning new technologies is essential. Excellent spoken and written English is required.

CONTRACT TYPE:

  • Full-time permanent position.


LOCATION & TRAVEL FREQUENCY:

  • EIT Food HQ, Leuven (Belgium) with the possibility to work from home;

  • Occasional travel within Europe;

  • Please note that all applicants must be legally authorized to reside and work in Belgium.
