The EMEA Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for executing the internal communications strategy to help deliver on business strategy and objectives. A core component of this role is informing, educating, engaging and motivating teammates across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), along with driving engagement in an integrated fashion. This role requires working in collaboration with internal communications teammates embedded in the business across EMEA as well as BMS and BSAM internal communications teammates to deliver coherent and consistent messaging in a transparent manner. This individual must operate with a perspective of respecting cultural sensitivities.

  • The position consists of delivering focused communications to EMEA teammates and aligning with West and global vision, strategies and initiatives. This position will support the strategies to communicate progress and performance, organisational values, employee programs, and company policies. This individual will support the implementation of internal communications tools. This individual will also be responsible for internal communications via B-Connected channels and support embedded communications professionals in EMEA regions to deliver consistent, impactful communications;

  • This position will play a critical role in advancing Bridgestone EMEA’s transformation from the No. 1 tyre and rubber company to a leader in sustainable mobility solutions. This includes ensuring impactful, timely and consistent communications are delivered to our teammates;

  • This role is responsible for creating cross-channel internal content (e.g., announcements, templates) that is adaptable for the EMEA audience and management of communications delivery across a variety of platforms. To ensure internal communications are effective, this role is responsible for monitoring key performance indicators and measurement across EMEA communications channels. This individual will also contribute to the assessment, alignment and upgrading of internal communications tools, applications and processes where appropriate;

  • This role involves proactive storytelling and collaborating closely with the EMEA regions, BMS Europe, the Marketing Center of Excellence and Sustainability Communications;

  • The Senior Specialist, EMEA Internal Communications reports to the Manager, EMEA Internal Communications. This individual will also manage projects and oversee the delivery of external agencies across EMEA, supporting internal communications.


  • The Senior Specialist, EMEA Internal Communications supports internal communications for Bridgestone’s EMEA organisation;

  • You will play a key role in building Bridgestone’s reputation across EMEA and ensure all communications developed are high quality and align with enterprise initiatives. Content delivered by this position must be multi-channel; compelling, accurate and well organised, and have a clear and consistent style/tone;

  • Success in this role will require working under the direction of the Manager, EMEA Internal Communications to ensure aligned and consistent messages are conveyed with the workforce. This individual will also work with colleagues across the organisation including but not limited to embedded regional communication teams, Marketing Center of Excellence, HR, IT and business colleagues, to name a few.


  • Execute strategic internal communications strategies, plans and activities to drive awareness, understanding and engagement across EMEA – from both a lateral and horizontal perspective;

  • Deliver content for all EMEA Internal Communications channels (e.g., B-Connected EMEA, The Link, newsletters, etc);

  • Partner with Bridgestone’s Marketing Center of Excellence and Commercial Marketing team to increase awareness, support and engagement across internal communications platforms;

  • Monitor KPIs and measure success of the EMEA internal communications programs and narratives;

  • Identify unique and intriguing storytelling opportunities to drive attention, excitement and business results in support of West Communications objectives.



  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or related field.


  • At least three years of relevant corporate communications or public relations experience developing and managing global communications strategies and programs, preferably for a global company; agency experience is a plus;

  • Global mindset and experience working in a matrix organisation preferred;

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat;

  • Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills;

  • Excellent influencing skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team of both internal teammates and external agency partners;

  • Demonstrated experience in problem-solving, decision-making and project management skills;

  • ‘Outside-in’ mindset and proven ability to write content in a clear, concise, compelling way in the face of changing deadlines;

  • Analytical skills, as well as a clear understanding of regional differences. Willingness and ability to dive into the data to understand what is and is not working;

  • Can-do, self-starter attitude and a sense of urgency in a rapidly changing environment;

  • Strong skills in project management, client service, time management, multi-tasking; an ability to adhere to fixed deadlines and flexibility to manage changing deadlines;

  • Superior attention to detail.
