ABOUT SIRONA TECHNOLOGIES:

At Sirona Technologies, we are developing direct air capture (DAC) technology to remove CO2 from the air and combat climate change. We are a young startup and are now scaling up our prototypes into industrial machines ready for mass production.

We are looking for an exceptional and mission-driven automation engineer to bring our machine to an industrial quality standard. As a member of the core team, you will be expected to rapidly grow your responsibilities in order to help fulfill our ambitious goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an electronics and automation engineer, you will:‍

  • Develop and implement control system architectures, including PLC programming and HMI development;

  • Integrate sensors and instrumentation for real-time monitoring of process parameters;

  • Analyze data to optimize system performance and provide technical support and training to team members;

  • Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and develop safety protocols;

  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, systems engineers, and other team members to integrate systems and clarify part specifications.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field;

  • 2-3 years of experience in a relevant field;

  • Proficient in PLC programming (Ladder, structured text);

  • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, Java) for system integration and data analysis;

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, sensor technology, and safety standards;

  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills;

  • Strong problem-solving skills;

  • Smart but humble, with a bias for action.


NICE TO HAVES:

  • Experience with SCADA systems and HMI development;

  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, etc.);

  • Experience in the field of direct air capture or related environmental technologies;

  • Hands-on experience to support the rest of the team in the workshop.
