COFACE Families Europe is a pluralistic network of family organisations representing the interest of all types of families in Europe, without discrimination. We are a membership-based non-governmental organisation which works in partnership with the European Commission through an operating grant of the EaSI programme.
POSITION SUMMARY:
COFACE Families Europe is developing its new education programme Link as part of its European Family Lab, working in partnership with the KMOP Education Hub. KMOP is a Greek leading NGO with over 40+ years of experience in supporting vulnerable people through the provision of social services, implementation of social initiatives, education, research and development of know-how on social policy issues. They have built a strong network of partners and through European grants they design and implement initiatives aiming to have a meaningful impact in tackling the ongoing challenges of our globalised world. Its Education Hub manages the Link programme with COFACE Families Europe.
The Education Programme Coordinator will join the COFACE secretariat in Brussels to coordinate this programme. This person will be in charge of coordinating and developing the courses offered in the framework of the European Family Lab. The programme coordinator will carry out a mix of activities (educational, communication and networking, administrative, advocacy) in liaison with the COFACE and KMOP directors and teams, building bridges with a wide European and international community. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in an international, inspiring and friendly workplace in Brussels, Belgium.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide administrative support and liaise with learners;
- Ensure the quality of the training courses;
- Participation in the development of future educational programmes and training courses;
- Manage budgets and ensure compliance with financial regulations;
- Build connections and liaise regularly with the COFACE and KMOP;
- Build a communication strategy for external partners and learners based on key communication tools such as newsletters, social media networks, webinars, graphics and more;
- Organise and facilitate meetings and networking activities with national and EU stakeholders;
- Connect with EU policy-makers and practitioners on education-related policies;
- Report on the impact of activities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Master’s degree in social work, social sciences, educational science, or any related fields and at least 3 years’ relevant work experience;
- Knowledge of the educational field, language and methods. Instructional design skills and digital learning development skills are an asset;
- Strong interest in lifelong learning and promoting education for professionals and families;
- Knowledge of the family and social policies an asset;
- Experience of working with educational institutions and agencies;
- Capacity to organise and manage high quality events with diverse audiences;
- Ability to think strategically, excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills, interest in proactive networking and a problem-solving attitude are essential;
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus;
- A keen interest in the use of different communication tools;
- Excellent writing skills, ability to make complex messages accessible to different target groups;
- Ability to work autonomously in a small team;
- Ability to manage a complex workload, to plan and prioritise.
WHAT WE OFFER:
- The candidate must be a resident in Belgium and hold a valid residence and work permit for Belgium;
- Contract: Permanent contract, Part-time (29h/week);
- Salary between 2461 and 2884 euros gross/month, depending on experience and qualifications, plus benefits (13th&14th month, luncheon vouchers, pension scheme, telework bursaries, generous annual leaves, flexible work arrangements and more);
