The European Anti-Poverty Network (EAPN) is looking for a motivated and creative Digital Communication Assistant to join our team for a 6-month CIP contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate with a strong interest in social media, digital storytelling, and social justice.

ABOUT EAPN:

EAPN is the largest European network of national, regional, and local organisations working to fight poverty and social exclusion. We bring together anti-poverty NGOs, grassroots groups, and European organisations to advocate for the eradication of poverty and the promotion of social inclusion.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As our Digital Communication Assistant, you will support EAPN’s communications work, especially across our digital and social media platforms. You will work closely with our Senior Communication Officer and Digital Communication Officer to help deliver EAPN’s communication strategy.

This role is ideal for someone with a creative mindset, who is confident with tools like Canva, CapCut, and social media platforms, and who is keen to use these skills to promote meaningful social change.

ABOUT THE CIP:

The Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle or professional immersion agreement is a type of internship contract through which the intern acquires certain practical knowledge or professional skills within a training framework by carrying out work-related tasks for an employer. It requires a training programme or plan agreement.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement EAPN’s social media campaigns (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Bluesky, TikTok);

  • Help manage and grow our online community;

  • Create digital content (videos, photography, visuals);

  • Contribute to content calendars and social media reports;

  • Collaborate on communication projects including the website and visual identity updates;

  • Support the broader communication activities of EAPN.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Essential

  • Recent graduate;

  • Strong knowledge of social media tools and trends;

  • Experience using video and visual editing tools (e.g. CapCut, Canva);

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written);

  • Ability to work independently and in a team;

  • Creative, organised, and motivated.


Desirable

  • Interest in EU institutions and policy;

  • Interest in social and economic rights, particularly poverty and social exclusion;

  • Other EU languages are an asset.

REMUNERATION:

Monthly compensation based on age (according to Belgian CIP regulations):

  • Age 18: €865.90;

  • Age 19: €929.30;

  • Age 20: €992.60;

  • Age 21 and older: €1,056.00.


CONDITIONS:

  • Type of contract: Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle (CIP) – Temporary position (6 months);

  • Location: Brussels, with the possibility of home working days;

  • Application deadline: 22 June 2025;

  • Interviews: Second week of July 2025.
