ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to design and evolve a modern, secure, and scalable data architecture primarily based on Azure Cloud technologies. This key role will also establish and structure data governance principles within the organization, ensuring data quality, compliance, and accessibility across hybrid environments.

As a strategic and technical expert, you will work closely with both IT and business teams to drive the digital transformation of sensitive services, including personal data management and secure data workflows.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and maintain data architecture, including data models, flows, storage, security, and accessibility, in on-premises, hybrid, and Azure Cloud environments;


• Define and enforce data management standards and best practices aligned with enterprise architecture;


• Implement data governance frameworks covering data cataloguing, quality assurance, and ownership; familiarity with DAMA principles is a plus;


• Lead and coordinate data migration projects from legacy systems to Azure solutions alongside developers, DBAs, project managers, and stakeholders;


• Document and keep up-to-date data flows, models, and APIs;


• Develop efficient solutions for data collection, storage, analysis, and exposure using Azure Data Services (SQL, Blob Storage, Data Factory, Synapse, etc.);


• Assess organizational and technical impacts of structural data changes;


• Ensure GDPR compliance and security by design across all data architectures;


• Work in an agile environment collaborating with project teams;


• Contribute to evolving internal technical reference frameworks.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in data architecture or complex business intelligence solutions;


• Strong expertise in Microsoft BI tools (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) and Azure Data Services (Data Factory, SQL, Blob Storage, Synapse, Key Vault, etc.);


• Proven experience in Azure migration or designing cloud-native data solutions;


• Deep understanding of data governance frameworks, roles, and processes; DAMA certification or willingness to obtain it is desirable;


• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles, data security, and legal compliance (GDPR);


• Structured, autonomous, and rigorous approach with strong initiative;


• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences;


• Language skills: Native French or Dutch, with good understanding of the other; fluent in English.
