We are looking for a Community Social Media Manager to join the European Commission Executive Agency.
WHO ARE WE:
The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) acting under the powers delegated by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy (ENER), is responsible for organising the annual EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW). The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) is the main successor of the Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) under Horizon Europe Cluster 5.
The organisation of EUSEW 2025 is, thus, a task shared between the Executive Agency and the partner DG ENER. EUSEW – the biggest event dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe – will provide a platform to reach out to stakeholders, communicate about the main energy policy initiatives contributing to the EU recovery plan under the European Green Deal, as well as the current state of play of EU energy policy in the lead-up to the 2030 and 2050 climate and energy targets. This year’s edition will feature, among others, activities dedicated to energy efficiency, renewable energy solutions and empowering consumers in Europe and around the world.
YOUR MISSION:
You will become part of the Communication team at VO Europe and work directly for a European Commission Executive Agency under a specific contract. As the Community and Social Media Manager intramuros, you will be on the frontline of stakeholder communication for one of the biggest events of the European Commission. You will be working within an international, highly motivated and skilled team. You will be working autonomously under the supervision of the Executive Agency and in conjunction with VO’s in-house team. You will have the chance to show your creativity and proactive approach in shaping the online presence of EUSEW and managing the EUSEW Community.

YOU WILL BE A GOOD FIT FOR THE ROLE IF YOU HAVE:
- Professional experience in an international and multicultural environment;
- Excellent drafting skills;
- Social media management (including community management, campaigns and boosting);
- Graphic design (Canva or similar);
- Audio-visual production (for social media);
- Motivation and capacity to work autonomously;
- Client orientation and communication skills to communicate at all levels within and outside of the Agency in a clear and concise manner;
- Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and manage competing responsibilities within tight deadlines.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planning, designing and executing an integrated social media campaign, combining paid, owned and earned social media outreach, reporting on the online activities and their results;
- Producing articles and news items for the EUSEW website, overseeing and contributing to the revision of web pages;
- Ensuring the implementation of the EUSEW partnership and ambassadorship programmes: coordinating third-party content on EUSEW social media channels and the website, managing networks of partners and multipliers (including EUSEW Digital Ambassadors and partners);
- Creating and distributing communication material via dedicated multipliers’ toolkits.
