JOB DESCRIPTION: 

We are seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to join our team. This role will be instrumental in developing and implementing effective communication and dissemination strategies for our projects and our company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication and dissemination plans for our projects (EU-funded mainly) and our company, aligning with project objectives and target audiences;

  • Manage and maintain effective communication channels, including the project websites, social media platforms, and newsletters;

  • Create engaging content such as press releases, articles, and multimedia materials to disseminate project results and impact;

  • Organise and participate in conferences, workshops, and other events to promote project outcomes;

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media, stakeholders, and project partners;

  • Monitor media coverage and analyse communication performance;

  • Ensure compliance with EU communication guidelines and reporting requirements.


QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Native-level English proficiency is essential;

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in communication roles, with a proven track record in EU-funded project communication and dissemination;

  • Master's degree in human and social sciences such as communication, history, marketing, psychology, geography, and political science. A scientific background is nice to have;

  • Experience working in communications roles on collaborative EU-funded research and innovation projects (e.g. Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe);

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills;

  • Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms;

  • Strong organisational and time management skills;

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;

  • Proactive and creative.


JOB CONDITIONS:

  • Contract: Full-time position, permanent contract;

  • Salary package: 35k-45k per year according to the professional experience, public transport and usual benefits;

  • Based in Brussels, hybrid;

  • Start: Tuesday 1st October 2024.
