DESCRIPTION:
EEE-YFU is looking for a dedicated European Solidarity Corps volunteer to join us in the Global Office in Brussels for eight and a half (8,5) months.
The volunteer in this project will have the chance to enhance their communication and advocacy skills, working together with the Communications and Advocacy Specialist in promoting and raising awareness for YFU’s activities and impact. This includes supporting the communications efforts related to the public affairs of YFU, as well as communications related to YFU’s 75th Anniversary in 2026. These tasks require interest in website management, copywriting and storytelling.
In addition, they will have the opportunity to learn about long-term Intercultural Youth Exchanges worldwide, by participating in some actions involved in the organisation of such experiences.
This experience will offer the selected volunteer the chance to get an insight into how a global NGO operates. They will have the opportunity to work with very different departments of the organisation, expanding their knowledge of different fields, according to their professional interests.
TASK OF THE VOLUNTEER:

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND LOGISTICAL ARRANGEMENTS:
The intern will be expected to work (mostly on-site in the office) on a full-time basis, 38h/week according to the Belgian law.
EEE-YFU will provide a monthly allowance of 1020 euro, which will enable you to pay for accommodation and subsistence during your stay in Brussels. We will support you with helpful indications, but it will be your responsibility to secure your housing during your internship.
Travel to and from Brussels for relocation will be covered by the program. All travels and subsistence during assigned events will be fully covered. The program will last for 8,5 months.

- Starting date: Preferably, you should be relocating to Brussels and ready to start during the month of September 2025, but this is negotiable. Applications will be processed on a rolling basis, therefore we encourage you to apply as fast as possible;
- The deadline for sending your application is 1st of July 2025.
TASK OF THE VOLUNTEER:
Support YFU’s internal and external Communication
- Support with increasing the visibility of the GOs’ activities (social media posts, newsletters etc.);
- Support with creating high quality content for YFU’s website and social media accounts;
- Support in implementing the Branding of YFU worldwide;
- Support in producing visual material (here you will have the chance to develop your skills in programs like Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Premier and Photoshop);
- Support the communications efforts related to YFU’s 75th Anniversary.
Support Advocacy and Fundraising activities
- Support in current and future advocacy campaigns and initiatives (Pupil Mobility in Erasmus+, Recognise Study Periods Abroad);
- Support in the search for potential funding and partnerships for the organization;
- Support in applying for grants for YFU’s activities;
- Support in the representation of YFU and engagement with stakeholders and partners.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Fluent in English (important for content creation);
- Excellent writing skills;
- Experience with social media management;
- Experience with video editing beneficial;
- Previous knowledge of the European Education Area, the Erasmus+ programme, Pupil Mobility Field is a plus;
- Previous knowledge on global and transversal competencies and how they are embedded in European policy is a plus;
- Knowledge of French is an advantage;
- A proactive and curious mindset.

- Between 18 and 30 years old;
- Legally reside in an EU Member State or a third country associated to the Programme (North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Serbia, or Turkey);
- Have registered in the European Solidarity Corps Portal.
