JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an experienced Carbon Capture, Storage, and Utilization (CCS/CCU) Specialist to join our team in Belgium. This role will be instrumental in advancing our climate change mitigation efforts and supporting the EU's transition to a low-carbon economy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
YOUR PROFILE:
We are looking for an experienced Carbon Capture, Storage, and Utilization (CCS/CCU) Specialist to join our team in Belgium. This role will be instrumental in advancing our climate change mitigation efforts and supporting the EU's transition to a low-carbon economy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct comprehensive technology assessments for CCS and CCU projects;
- Perform feasibility studies and market analyses for potential CCS and CCU installations;
- Carry out due diligence processes for CCS and CCU projects and partnerships;
- Provide project preparation support for new CCS and CCU initiatives;
- Evaluate and optimize carbon capture, transport, storage, and utilization processes;
- Assess and develop products that can substitute carbon-intensive alternatives;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of CCS and CCU projects;
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in CCS and CCU technologies;
- Contribute to policy development and strategic planning for CCS and CCU in the EU.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Process, or related field);
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken);
- At least 10 years of experience;
- Demonstrated expertise in technology assessment, feasibility studies, market studies, due diligence, and project preparation support;
- Proven experience in:
- Carbon capture and utilization (CCU) activities;
- Developing products that substitute carbon-intensive alternatives;
- Construction and operation of carbon capture, transport, and geological storage (CCS) facilities.
- Strong understanding of carbon capture technologies, geological storage principles, and CO2 utilization processes;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
