We are seeking a Camera Operator / Video Editor (f/m/d) for our DW Brussels Studio in Belgium as of 1 March 2025 or as soon as possible on the basis of a full-time local staff contract limited for two years.

YOUR CHALLENGES:
- Responsible for filming, editing and final production of news, reports and feature stories to be broadcast on the DW TV program and social media channels;
- Coordinating video production working closely with the producers and correspondents of the studio in Brussels;
- Filming and editing footage and video material;
- Compiling video footage for web and DW’s social media platforms.
YOUR QUALIFICATION:
- University degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent qualification;
- Previous experience as camera operator familiar with the use and maintenance of different video camera systems (Sony Pxw Z280, Cannon C-series, Panasonic EVA1), GoPros, and drones;
- Comfortable working with Premiere Pro and Avid;
- Versed in audio recording;
- Strong visual story telling skills;
- Excellent planning and organization skills with a proactive, pragmatic, and hands-on approach;
- Professional language proficiency in English required, knowledge of French or Dutch desirable, German an advantage;
- Ability to work in interdisciplinary and diverse teams, high level of intercultural sensitivity and respect for diversity;
- Willingness to travel across the European Union.
