Internship/Traineeship

Application Deadline: September 15, 2024

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Please note this can be offered as a studentship as part of your studies (with authorisation form and signed agreement provided by the university, “convention de stage”) or as an internship under the "convention d'immersion professionnelle" (after your studies as a young professional).

If you’re passionate about policy and politics, you’ll fit right in to our enthusiastic and vibrant team.

Working as part of the Sales Team, the Business Development Intern will directly support business development and sales activity in the region by helping identify new business opportunities. You will also help foster retention and growth of the existing book of business and help foster a smooth and effective account management across a wide portfolio of international clients.

This role is hands on and requires a mature and focused individual who has an eye for detail, is strong at planning and executing and who likes to think outside of the box. You will thrive on working in a team in a fast-paced environment, whilst also being comfortable working independently with a can-do-attitude.

To support your growth as a professional, you will receive support from your manager and colleagues through various training opportunities and meetings. You will have the opportunity to support with some high-profile accounts that make a meaningful difference to the success of our business.

This role is based at our Brussels office. Colleagues spend some of their working week in the office and some days working from home (usually 2-3 days in the office per week).

WHAT IS IT LIKE TO WORK WITH US:

At Dods we believe in the 3C’s: Collaboration culture, Continuous improvement, and Customer focused. We live these values by giving everyone the chance to develop their skills through learning and development and training, as well as plenty of opportunities to network, socialise and connect across teams. Our inclusive culture means there are always room for new ideas. We encourage creativity and continuous improvement, keeping the customer needs at the forefront.

In London and Brussels, the office working environment is collaborative, bright and airy with everyone together in one space. There’s always a bit of a buzz and conversation going on, and people really like to chat and help each other. The office is small enough that everyone knows everyone’s name, so colleagues work across teams on shared projects and catch up over informal meetings in the kitchen or over a game of table football in the office.

We’ve provided political intelligence for 190 years, and whilst we’re looking into how to leverage artificial intelligence, we know that it’s still our people and how we support our customers personally that makes us different. Work can be fast-paced – there’s an expectation that a customer can get straight through to their Consultant or Account Manager to ask a question and get a quick answer. This means that if a colleague is out-of-office, we cover for each other. It’s a very engaging environment to work in, and whilst it can be busy, you know that there are always great colleagues around to support you.
