The Terumo Europe ICT department, operating from Belgium is a shared service center that provides IT services to Terumo's internal and external customers across the EMEA region.

One team focuses on Infrastructure, Operations & Security. The other team focuses on Applications, Enterprise Architecture & Analytics.


the main responsibility of the Business Analyst is to be a proactive partner of the Terumo business by supporting and developing a standardized ICT application portfolio based on an actively managed relationship with all business partners within Terumo Europe and our sister company Terumo Aortic.


Analyse Requirements

  • Analyse requirements to ensure clear problem definition can be drawn taking into account possibilities and restrictions by using interviews, document analysis, workshops etc.

Communicate and Report

  • Communicate and report proactively, formally, frequently and clearly with all stakeholders (internal ICT and external) status and plan by work package;

  • Be liaison between business, ICT and supporting third parties; exchange ideas and expertise to contribute towards continuous improvement of tools, methods and procedures.

Manage Projects and Change Request

  • Draw project definition and functional specification for projects/change requests to ensure customer requirements can be met taking into account business strategy and application cost of ownership;

  • Initiate and follow-up projects (scope, plan, budget) using best practices as guideline (e.g. Prince2) in close cooperation with / under guidance of:

    1. Project management Office (PMO) on Applications projects;

    2. IT Operations Manager on technical projects.

  • Verify (and test) new developed projects and change requests to ensure successful implementation in agreement with all stakeholders without operational distress.

Support current IT application

  • Follow-up and document incidents including root cause analysis using best practices as guidelines (e.g. ITIL) ensuring IT application service level agreement, supporting key users;

  • Stimulate improvement of quality with regard to in use processes and IT applications.

Document IT application

  • Guarantee up-to-date documentation of IT application ensuring continuous functioning and compliancy with Terumo applicable regulations (e.g. ISO13485, J-SOX).

Develop IT application knowledge

  • Ensure to be well informed about evolutions and developments related to IT application.


  • University degree preferred or Bachelor’s degree equivalent through experience in a similar role;

  • Proven experience in Business Analysis and ERP package, Knowledge of MES is a plus;

  • Strong analytical and communications skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Able to work result oriented within a team;

  • Excellent working knowledge of English (written and spoken). Other languages can be an advantage;

  • Max travel 2/Year (Terumo Aortic HQ - Glasgow; max.15%).
