The ENCJ unites national institutions in the Member States of the European Union, EU candidate states and former Member States, which are independent of the executive and legislature, and which are responsible for the support of the Judiciaries in the independent delivery of justice. Our mission is to reinforce an independent yet accountable judiciary and to promote best practices to enable the judiciary to deliver timely, effective and quality justice for the benefit of all citizens.
The ENCJ is currently looking for an Administrative and Communication intern for a period of six months, ideally starting from 15 November 2024, but a later starting date is possible.
The role has a strong communications element, with excellent writing skills and in-depth knowledge of justice sector and EU policy.
An interest in the justice sector and previous experience in communications/social media is a definite plus.

An interest in the justice sector and previous experience in communications/social media is a definite plus.
DESIRABLE PROFILE OF THE CANDIDATE:
- Communication/administrative related studies, preferably combined with EU related studies;
- Knowledge and a keen interest in EU policy;
- Interest in social media, a previous traineeship in the communication/social media;
- Experience in the field of content creation (images, videos etc.);
- The ability to understand and appreciate the interests of the judiciary;
- Good writing and communication skills;
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
- Fluent English is required – French is preferable, other languages are welcome;
- Good command of MS office package;
- Comfortable with using website content management systems.
DESCRIPTION OF TASKS:
- Administrative tasks (e.g. document management, management of members’ network);
- Taking care of various tasks related to project and events coordination;
- Producing communication material to increase outreach (articles, press releases, posters, brochures, illustrations, videos, etc.);
- Developing and managing ENCJ’s social media advocacy and outreach activities and monitor their effectiveness;
- Supporting and attending internal and external events;
- Support the drafting and designing of ENCJ’s advocacy materials;
- Web content management.
WHAT WE OFFER:
- A contract convention d’immersion professionelle (CIP) contract in accordance with Belgian law; monthly public transportation reimbursement;

- A possibility of a permanent position following a successful completion of traineeship.
