POLITICO is looking for a motivated Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to join its dynamic Accounting team. The position is a full time-job based at POLITICO Europe HQ in Brussels. POLITICO is a pioneering and growing media company that covers the politics, policy and personalities of the European Union.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Process incoming payments and supervise the accounts receivable closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance;


• Oversee the processing of all purchasing (opex and capex) invoices, ensuring they meet legal requirements, and manage the control and processing of employee expense notes;


• Prepare and ensure the timely payment of suppliers’ invoices and employees’ expenses, while processing cash movements on bank statements and responding to supplier inquiries;


• Manage the accounts payable closing process, including the booking of invoices to receive, depreciations, and other accruals;


• Generate KPIs, create dashboards, and perform analysis related to both accounts receivable and accounts payable;


• Provide operational guidance to the AP and AR accountants, ensuring efficient and accurate task execution;


• Improve processes through automation and actively participate in projects such as electronic invoicing and ERP optimization.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting;


• Prior relevant experience in similar position;


• Highly computer literate (MS office);


• Excellent communication skills;


• Fluent French and English;


• Pro-active, organized, dynamic and accurate;


• Team player and ability to work independently.
