To strengthen our In-Process Analytical Sciences team, we are looking for a talented and motivated individual to fill the position of: Scientist – Braine L’Alleud.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The role involves supporting Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls process development for antibody-based therapeutics within the Biologics Process Sciences department, covering drug substance manufacture from Pre-clinical to Clinical Phase I-III and Process Validation. It requires technical problem-solving, coordinating activities, contributing to scientific discussions, and collaborating with team members.

YOUR ACTIVITIES:

  • Work independently, utilizing a range of scientific/technical methodologies;

  • Design and conduct experiments to produce useful data for project goals;

  • Compile data for reports and update procedures;

  • Maintain a high standard of records and training material;

  • Share scientific and technical findings within Biologics Process Sciences in an appropriate way, including presentations and informal discussions;

  • Write clear and concise reports;

  • Train new colleagues.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • PhD or Master / Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience in a scientific field;

  • Experience with the following equipment is an asset: Empower 3, Electronic lab notebook, JMP;

  • Experience with the following software is an asset: HPLC/UPLC, iCE3/Maurice, PA800, ELISA, MS;

  • Ability to identify critical issues and draw conclusions from data;

  • Offer guidance and support related to techniques, tools and working methods;

  • Recognize and correct data anomalies;

  • Develop and improve methods;

  • Collaborate across departments to share and gather information;

  • Continuously enhance knowledge through personal development and meetings;

  • Automation skills (Tecan or similar Liquid handlers) to enable the development of this part are an asset;

  • Engish: Fluent. French nice to have.
