ABOUT THE JOB:
EXMAR Group is currently looking for an Accounts Payable Accountant to reinforce the finance team in Antwerp.

YOUR ROLE IN THE TEAM:
To take care of the accounting of several vessels of the EXMAR Group in order to make sure the Group and its subsidiaries comply with the applicable accounting standards and requirements.

YOUR ROLE IN THE TEAM:
To take care of the accounting of several vessels of the EXMAR Group in order to make sure the Group and its subsidiaries comply with the applicable accounting standards and requirements.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS INCLUDE:
- Processing invoices and insuring timely payments;
- Take care of ledger accounts, making sure incoming invoices are registered on the correct project and costcentre, administration of accruals related to PO’s;
- Weekly payment proposals and registration of bank statements;
- Suppliers administration including registration, follow-up on approval of incoming invoices and unpaid balances;
- Support in monthly/quarterly closing by performing checks on registered documents;
- Timely delivery of required information to Business Unit Controller and Procurement;
- Providing assistance to the audit team during reviews.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Bachelor in Accountancy;
- Minimum 2 year of experience in a similar position;
- You are able to respect internal and external reporting deadlines;
- You are able to independently perform periodic closing figures;
- You are able to independently follow up on open items;
- Good knowledge of Belgian GAAP and IFRS;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel in particular);
- Fluent in written and spoken English;
- Strong communication and networking skills;
- Experience with treasury administration is a plus.
